  Ann's favourite memories of growing up were the endless hours spent exploring the forests and ponds around her home with her siblings, who shared her deep appreciation of the outdoors.

This love of nature is reflected in her paintings as she endeavours to capture their beauty on her preferred "canvases" of slate, stone, wood and leaves. Her pen and ink sketches also render the details of the birds and animals she loves.

With the busyness that comes from having a family and all of its responsibilities, she still makes time for camping, canoeing and hiking, for it is during these times that she finds the greatest inspiration for her artwork.
